If you are, you should know that it enables your visitors to see what exactly is published on your website. It also helps you keep track of changes in your site since it includes meta data and other details about your site.

The WordPress default installation includes a sitemap option when you install it. However, if you have never installed one, you can find and install the plugin. Just search for “Sitemap in WordPress.” Another way is to access the “All In One SEO Plugin” and copy-paste the code needed for your website. Once the code is saved, you can go ahead and activate it for your use.

A sitemap is very important in increasing search engine rankings. It shows search engines what your whole site looks like. It shows the index page and all the pages within it. Also included are the headers and footers. So how to add a sitemap to WordPress? Here are the steps:

First off, login to your WordPress site and add new posts or comments, if you are using the default installation. When you are in your themes area, you will see a ‘Add new Theme’ option. Select it and click on the link that says ‘Sitemap to WordPress.’ Once you have done so, you will see a new drop-down menu.

Now, you just have to click on the link that says ‘Remove Meta Tags’. You can do this by clicking on the check box next to the title of your post. Also, if you want to include a snippet of information about your website in your article, you can include these as well. If you are using the default theme, you can also include the keywords of your main keyword in your title. These are the basic steps on how to add a sitemap to WordPress.

However, if you want to learn how to add a sitemap to WordPress that includes all your website’s pages, you can do it as well. All you have to do is login to your WordPress site and then scroll down to where it says ‘Sitemaps’ and click on the button that says ‘Manage Sitemaps’. You will then be shown a page with your current site map. From here, you will be able to add, edit, and/or remove any website specific sitemaps that you have on your site.

The last step on how to add a sitemap to WordPress is for you to select the files or pages that you want included in your site map. On the left side of the page, there will be an option for you to click on ‘Add Files/Pages’, which will take you to a page where you can choose which files or pages you want included in your site. You can either choose to add the file from your own computer or upload them from your FTP (file transfer protocol) server. It really depends on your choice of internet connection and how fast your server is as to how fast your site will load.

Once you have done so, you will then be given the option to include your new sitemap onto your site. To do this, click on the ‘add new site map’ link that is located at the bottom of your screen. Next, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you will see a button with a title of ‘Add Sitemap’. Click this button. A new page will appear and you will need to scroll to the very bottom of this page and click on the button that says ‘Add URL’, which takes you to your chosen hosting provider’s web root directory. Finally, you will need to enter the URL of the page your included in your site map.
